| Going on a road trip! |
While we were waiting for a good weather window to leave Demopolis AL back in January, we decided to take a little road trip to New Orleans (NOLA) and Lafayette! It's been a bucket list item for years! Since we still had the rental car, with unlimited mileage, we were like "what the heck, lets go!" We had the wheels and the time.
We got a hotel room just of the Old French Quarter in NOLA, so we were able to walk to many of the "must see" places that we've heard about.

We did a quick detour to Lafayette while we where there. We wanted to go see a bit of the "Acadian" history sites. We didn't stay long enough to see a lot, but we did get a chance to visit a few sites.
